Sweet Melody added to her show ring successes this weekend by notching up another Championship title. Reserve Champion of the Clydesdale Section went deservedly to Donald Henderson with his 2 year old filly Cauldwell Lilly. Laura Young won the Young Handlers. We also exhibited a mare and foal (Arradoul Sabrina & Arradoul Cardhu), coming third and second respectively in their classes, a two year old filly (Arradoul Majesta) and a yearling filly (Arradoul Maisie) who came second and third respectively in the same class.

After winning the Female Clydesdale Championship, Melody went on to win not only the Overall Clydesdale Championship, but beat two very good Champions from the Highland Pony (Robin & Karen Stewart, Banchory - Westlodge Annie) and Shetland Pony (Winnie Anderson, King Edward - Westpark Princess) sections to win the Overall Native Horse Championship for the second year running.

Arradoul Sweet Melody has provided us with further success in the show rings of Scotland. Her first two outings fell back to back over the past weekend, and resulted in a championship double!

Melody took the Female Championship at Montrose Heavy Horse Show, and then went on to beat the Male Champion to win the Supreme Clydesdale Championship on Sunday 1st August, and then went on to take the Reserve Overall Clydesdale Championship at Turriff Show the following day. Arradoul Majesta came second in the 2 year old filly class at Montrose and second again at Turriff.

Furthermore, Melody was also ridden into third place (photographed below) in a very strong ridden class on the Monday at Turriff Show and Majesta was ridden lead reign by George Young to come fifth. The ridden class was a fantastic display of the capabilities of the Clydesdale horse besides in-hand showing, and was only topped in success by the participants partaking in a lap and a half of full speed galloping around the parade ring at the close of the day. The riders were cheered every hoof of the way by many thousands of spectators who lined the main ring to watch the grand parade of cattle and horses.

Laura Young also won the Young Handlers class at Turriff with Melody.
