Before we started breeding Clydesdale Horses, Mrs Young was well known throughout the North East for breeding quality thoroughbred hunters and hacks.

We continue this tradition, breeding hunters, hacks, and ponies to a high degree of success.

The infusion of our thoroughbred stallion's blood has broadened the scope an ability of our ponies giving them finer thoroughbred qualities, good confirmation and wonderful paces. Our late stallion, Saladin Bay, passed on his wonderful temperament to all his offspring which means that they are very easy to handle, willing to learn, and lovely characters - each and everyone.

The success we have enjoyed in gaining championships within the show rings of the North East with our ponies in in-hand and under saddle show hunter pony, working hunter and show pony classes has also been enjoyed with our larger light horses.

Dove House our leading hack mare (bought from racing), photographed below, has enjoyed numerous in-hand championships, and her offspring by our stallion have also gained superb successes in hand and under saddle in hunter, hack, and working hunter classes and in eventing and show jumping.
